Who May Enter
No purchase necessary. Contest is open to legal residents of Canada, except residents of Quebec, who have reached the age of majority at the time of entry. Employees or affiliates of the Freshwater Fisheries Society and their immediate family members (spouse, parent, child, sibling and their respective spouses, regardless of where they live) or persons living in the same households of such employees, whether or not related, are not eligible.

How to Enter
Complete the required fields in the form on this webpage and submit. A correct answer to the skill-testing question is required to submit a valid entry. Contact us at fish@gofishbc.com if you are having problems submitting your photo or would like to arrange an alternate way to submit your photo.

You may submit a maximum of three photos in each category. You may enter multiple categories - a new form submission is required for each category entered. However, photographers will not be awarded more than one of the cash prizes (first, second or third place in one category) at the conclusion of the contest. Once an entrant has submitted their maximum of nine photos in the Contest, any further submissions are not valid and will not be taken into consideration for the weekly prize draw or award of cash prizes.

Each entry must comply with the following requirements:

- Photographs must be in digital format. All digital files must be 5 megabytes or smaller, and must be in .jpg, .jpeg, .gif or .png format.
- Photographs must have been taken within two (2) years before the date of entry.
- All winners will be required to submit a high resolution version of the image.
- Photos must not be of an offensive nature, nor contain illegal acts in them.

Releases
By submitting a photo(s), you agree that any person(s) in the photo(s) have provided their consent in allowing their picture to be entered into the Contest. Failure to obtain such consent will deem the entry ineligible. Upon request, each entrant must be prepared to provide (within seven (7) calendar days of receipt of request) a signed release from all persons who appear in the photograph submitted. If any person appearing in any photograph is under the age of majority in their province/territory of residence the signature of a parent or legal guardian is required on each release.

Use of Photos and Information
By entering and participating in the Contest, you consent to the use of your photograph by the Freshwater Fisheries Society of BC (Contest Administrators) for promotional use during or after the Contest closing date, without compensation. Of course, photo credits will be given wherever possible.

The Freshwater Fisheries Society of BC collects personal information for the sole purpose of the Contest and will not send any additional marketing or communications to the entrant without their explicit permission to do so.

Copyright
By submitting a photo(s), you agree that you own all copyrights in the photograph. You represent and warrant that photographs have not been copied in whole or in part from any other work, do not violate or infringe any copyright, moral right, trademark or other proprietary right of any person or entity, and are, together with the copyright and moral rights therein, the sole and exclusive property of the entrant.

Prizes and Selection of Winners
Cash Prize Winners (first, second and third place winners in each category)
All cash prize winners will be selected on the basis of skill and creativity as determined by a panel of contest judges. The cash prizes will be transferred to the winners via electronic transfer or issued via cheque no later than December 30, 2021.

Weekly Draw Prize Winners
The weekly prize pack consists of a travel tumbler, cap, and sticker (retail value $50). Prize value is an estimate, and the actual retail value may vary. Being awarded the weekly prize pack does not exclude an entrant from winning one of the cash prizes (first, second or third place in each category).

All prizes must be accepted as awarded. If a winner cannot be contacted within one week (7 days) or a winner refuses the prize, the prize will be awarded to the next runner-up. The Freshwater Fisheries Society of BC and its advertising and promotion agencies are not responsible for late, lost, misdirected, or delayed entries.

Cancellation
The Freshwater Fisheries Society of BC reserves the right to terminate or suspend the Contest, or to amend these Terms and Conditions at any time and in any way, without prior notice, for any reason whatsoever. Entrants participating in the Contest acknowledge that they have read and understood the Terms and Conditions.
