About these Lakes
Kelowna (in Mission Creek Regional Park). From KLO Rd, turn north onto Hall Rd and drive to the parking lot near the dead end. The fishing pond is adjacent to Hall Road and is located within the Mission Creek Regional Park.
Facilities: Parking, walking trailsRegulations: This pond was created to provide fishing opportunities for children. Please respect the suggested guideline of “one fish per child (under age 16 only) per day.” Species: Stocked catchable rainbow trout (stocked each spring)Tip: Good shore fishing
Westbank (in Shannon Lake Regional Park). From Hwy 97, turn north onto Bartley Rd, left onto Shannon Lake Rd and drive to the regional park.
Facilities: Regional park with washrooms, picnic tables, and walking trails.Regulations: Regional regulations. Within the netted enclosure, please respect the suggested guideline of “one fish per child (under age 16 only) per day.” Species: Stocked catchable rainbow troutTip: Good shore fishing in the spring within the netted enclosure (seasonal).
South of Merritt. Paved access from Hwy 5A or 97C to Kentucky Alleyne Provincial Park.
Facilities: Provincial park with washrooms, camping, and walking trails. Please respect the suggested guideline of “angling restricted to those less than 16 years of age”. Tip: Good shore fishing.
Between Grand Forks and Greenwood. Turn north off Hwy 3 and drive 12 km to Jewel Lake Provincial Park.
Facilities: Provincial park with car-top boat-launch, toilets, swimming beach, picnic tables and camping. For more information on Jewel Lake Provincial Park visit www.env.gov.bc.ca/bcparks. Private resort with boat rentals. Regulations: Regional regulations; engine power restriction – 7.5 Kw (10 hp) & speed restriction (8 km/h)Species: Stocked rainbow trout & brook troutTip: Best fishing from boat
Winfield. From Hwy 97 in Winfield, turn east onto Beaver Lake Rd and drive 16 km to the lake.
Facilities: Recreation site with boat launch, pit-toilets, and camping. Private resort with cabins and boat rentals.Regulations: Regional regulationsSpecies: Stocked rainbow troutTip: Best fished from a boat.
Northeast of Princeton. Osprey Lake is located off the Princeton – Summerland backroad. From Princeton, follow signs for Chain Lakes and Osprey Lake Rd. Fishing is also good at nearby Link and Chain Lakes.
Facilities: Recreation site with boat launch, pit-toilets and campingRegulations: Regional regulations; engine power restriction – 7.5 Kw (10 hp). Nearby Chain Lake has a 2 fish limit and is closed to ice fishing.Species: Stocked rainbow troutTip: Best fishing from a boat but shore fishing is available on all three lakes.
Winfield. From Hwy 97 in Winfield, turn east onto Beaver Lake Rd. Drive past Beaver Lake and travel another 10 km to reach Dee Lake. Dee Lake is the northernmost of a chain of 4 fishing lakes (Island, Deer and Crooked Lakes).
Facilities: Boat launch. Private resort with boat rentals. Recreation site with camping at nearby Island Lake. Regulations: Regional regulations; closed to fishing December 1 – April 30Species: Stocked rainbow troutTip: Best fishing from a boat
West of Grand Forks. Adjacent to Hwy 3 between Greenwood and Grand Forks.

Northeast of Princeton. From Hwy 5A in Princeton, drive approximately 4 km along the Princeton – Summerland backroad to reach the lake.
Facilities: Pit toilet, boat launch Regulations: Regional regulationsSpecies: Stocked rainbow troutTip: Shore fishing available but best fishing from a boat.
Between Merritt and Princeton. Round lake is adjacent to Hwy 5A, just south of Allison Lake.
Facilities: Boat launchRegulations: Regional regulations; no fishing near the outlet stream in the spring.Species: Stocked rainbow trout & catchable rainbow troutTip: Best fishing from a boat.
Southwest of Penticton. From Penticton, head south on Hwy 97 and turn west (right) onto Hwy 3A. The lake is on the left side of the highway.
