About these Lakes
South of Salmo. Follow Hwy 6 south of Salmo towards the USA border. Turn left onto Rosebud Lake Rd and follow for 6 km to the lake. Rosebud Lake is in a Regional Park.

South of Nelson. Follow Hwy 6 south of Nelson for about 5 km until reaching Cottonwood Lake Regional Park

North of Fort Steele, on the east side of Hwy 93/95.

West of Parson. Exit Hwy 95 at Parson and cross the Columbia River. Follow the Crestbrook Main Forest Service Rd for approximately 23 km to the lake.

East of Cranbrook. Located within Norbury Lake Provincial Park, between Fort Steele and Wardner off the Wardner- Fort Steele Rd. Stop by the Kootenay Trout hatchery in Wardner for a visit!

Between Jaffray and Wardner. The lake is located off Shelborn Rd, west of Hwy 3/93. From Jaffray, drive Shelborn Rd to the lake. From Wardner, drive south on the highway, exit onto Rosicky Rd, turn south on Shelborn Rd and follow to the lake.

Northeast of Fruitvale. From Hwy 3B, turn west onto the Champion Lakes Rd (approximately 6 km northeast of Fruitvale). From the highway turnoff, it is approximately 10 km to the Champion Lakes Provincial Park entrance. Third Champion Lake is the first lake in the chain.
Facilities: Provincial Park with day-use picnic areas, boat launch, toilets, swimming beach, playground, and camping. For more information on Champion Lakes Provincial Park visit www.env.gov.bc.ca/bcparks

South of Golden. From the north end of Golden, follow signs for Kicking Horse Ski Resort for approximately 10 km. Turn left at the t-junction and follow the Dogtooth Forest Service Rd for approximately 2 km to reach the lake.

Northeast of Kimberley. From Hwy 95A, turn west onto Lost Dog Forest Service Rd. The lake is located on the west side of the road, approximately 3 km from the Hwy junction.
