Freshwater Fish Hatcheries in BC

Over 6 million trout, char and kokannee are produced, stocking nearly 850 individual lakes and streams in the province each year as requested by the Ministry of Environment. To find out more on the fish stocking activities in BC, go to our Fish Stocking Facts page.

The Freshwater Fisheries Society of BC operates five Hatcheries plus Visitor's Centres.
