In 2009 the Fish Health Unit was moved to the Vancouver Island Hatchery location. The facility supports several labs including a necropsy, serology, virology, PCR, and a tissue culture lab.

Species Raised

The hatchery is home to the Fraser Valley rainbow trout broodstock, supplying eggs and fry to three other Society hatcheries for their stocking programs.
