The Recruitment Process

Recruitment at the Freshwater Fisheries Society of BC (FFSBC) is typically a four-stage process focused on identifying, assessing, interviewing, and hiring the very best person for each opportunity.

1.  APPLICATION

Apply for positions that interest you and align with your educational background, competencies, and experience by reviewing our career postings web page.

2.  EVALUATION

Once your application is submitted, it will be reviewed against the requirements of the position.

3.  INTERVIEW

The interview process may include a written assessment and a phone call or a face-to-face interview with the hiring manager or a hiring panel.  The primary purpose of the interview process is to assess the fit of the candidate with the needs of our organization, and serves as a way for the candidate to gain a better understanding of the opportunity and our organization.

4.  SELECTION

Once a position has been filled, those candidates not selected will be notified as to the status of their application.  It is the goal of the FFSBC to hire the most qualified individual for each opportunity.
